This program controls a telemetry "black box" through a serial port.

Major Features

To install the package:
  1. the zip file.
  2. Unzip to separate directory.
  3. Invoke the program setup.exe in the directory.
  4. Execute the program vg16.exe
  5. Open a demo *.vgx file to view and manipulate a graph
The total size of thie package is about 3MB so be sure that your computer and modem setup is fast enough to do this in a reasonable time.

TechView for Vetronix Corporation, Santa Barbara

Applications for uploading and manipulating data files captured by a hand held vehicle monitoring device to a PC via a serial port.
Major Features

These applications are being deployed by American and Japanese Honda divisions and American and Canadian divisions of Toyota Corp. If you are using Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, you can install this package automatically just by clicking this icon TechView

If you are using some other browser you can install the package in the following way:

  1. the zip file.
  2. Unzip to separate directory.
  3. Invoke the program setup.exe in the directory.
  4. Execute the program TechView.exe
  5. Open a demo *.tvw file to view and manipulate a graph
Note that in both cases, the files to be transfered are approximately 700K. Contrast this with the package described above. This package is much more elaborate but results in a file size 1/4 of built using the the VB approach. Its much faster as well.

Chemical DataBase Browser for Dega Technology, San Luis Obispo.

Development of a specialized browser for a CDROM database to be sold to companies in the chemical industry. The data base contains a list of chemicals and information on which ingredients are required to produce each end product. From this information, the browser permits one to ask questions such as who are potential customers for the producers of a given chemical.

WWW Order Entry for McCann-Erikson, San Francisco

Programming and implementation of a WWW site for the online registration of magazine subscriptions. Web surfers through the Hewlett-Packard web site can learn about and subscribe to the new HP Magazine "networked!" through this site. This applications gathers and validates the data from the user, and downloads on demand to the subscription fulfillment company. This applications was written in PERL 4.
